Lost in Ad Metrics? Here’s How to Make Sense of It All

If you’re running ads but not checking your stats, you might as well be throwing money out the window. Tracking metrics isn’t just about seeing what’s happening—it’s about improving results and making every dollar count. OnClickA makes it easy to keep an eye on your ad performance—here’s how to do it without feeling overwhelmed. 

Where to Find Your Stats

Log into OnClicka and click on the “Statistics” tab on the left. This is where you’ll see all the key numbers from your ad campaigns.

Filtering Your Data (So You Don’t Get Lost in Numbers)

1.At the very top of the page, you’ll see filters that let you narrow down your data:

  • Time Range – Use the date filter to pick a custom period or choose quick options like Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last month, Current week, Current month.
  • Ad Format – Click the dropdown and choose from formats like In-app banners, Popunder, Native Ads, etc.
  • Choose a campaign — Select which campaign you want to analyze.
  • Campaign Status – Filter by Active, Paused, or Archived to focus on the campaigns you wish to analyze.

2.Once you’ve chosen the basic filters by time, campaigns, and other settings, it’s time to go into more detail. OnClickA lets you analyze performance across different categories to get a deeper understanding of your campaigns. You can find them at the top and click the slider arrow to see more options. Break data down by:

  • Traffic Type – See which traffic sources bring in the best results.
  • Ad Formats – Compare performance across different formats.
  • Creatives – Test different ad versions and compare results.
  • Spots & Sites – Find out which placements bring the most engagement.
  • Browsers & Operating Systems – Check which browsers and devices your audience is using to interact with your ads.
  • Carriers & Countries – Analyze where your traffic is coming from and which mobile networks users are on to optimize targeting.

What Metrics to Pay Attention To

After setting up your basic filters, it's time to decide what data you want to analyze. In the “Available Parameters” section, you can choose the specific metrics and insights you want to track. You can compare two metrics at once using the dropdowns at the top of the graph. This makes it easy to spot trends, like how ad spend affects conversions or how impressions relate to clicks.

  • Money Spent – Track how much budget has been used.
  • Impressions – See how many times your ad was displayed.
  • Clicks – Measure the number of interactions with your ad.
  • Video Views – Check engagement for video ads.
  • CTR (Click-Through Rate) – Understand how well your ad converts impressions into clicks.
  • Conversions – Monitor successful actions completed by users.
  • Payouts – Keep track of earnings from your campaigns.

Making Sense of the Numbers

As we mentioned, at the bottom of the page, you’ll find two dropdown menus where you can mix and match metrics to get the insights you need. For example:

  • Money spent + Conversions → See how much you’re paying per sale (CPS).
  • Impressions + Clicks → Find out how engaging your ad is (CTR).
  • Revenue + Ad Spend → Measure your Return on Investment (ROI) and see if your campaigns are truly profitable.

Saving Your Data

Need to share or keep track of your numbers? You can export your reports in different formats:

  • Charts: .SVG, .PNG, .CSV
  • Metrics: .XLS (perfect for Excel fans)
